Back for 2008-9! Optional Mini-Manuals and PowerPoints by Topic
Our MiniManuals and PowerPoints were a hugh hit last year, and we've received numerous requests to add more topics. As such, we will be expanding the topic selection this summer and will have several more ready for fall 2008. We are having some difficulty with the iPod (.mp3) audio version, as the download is too slow and cumbersome. As such, for now we are going to concentrate on expanding topics instead while we search for better iPod technology. In conjunction with our sister company, Our InfoBoard, we have developed a manual that shows schools how to set up a communication station for students at almost no cost. Instead of selling that product separately, we decided to include the manual in our MiniManuals and Powerpoints! Get your own School InfoBoard started right away!

Edition Names
In order to avoid past confusion, we are identifying our editions to match the academic year. For example, the new edition coming out soon is the 2008-9 edition. Next year's will be the 2009-10 edition. We hope this will be easier to understand!

Build Your Own Handbook Appendix
One of our subscriber schools had a great idea. To the back of the handbook, they added not only some school specific forms (transcript request, etc) but also pulled some of their favorite checklists, calendars and worksheets from our private subscriber site. They downloaded these and added them to the back of the handbook prior to reproducing it. In essence, they customized the appendix to their liking!  We thought this was great idea and wanted to share it.

Send us Your Logo
Your school probably has a high quality color or black & white electronic version of your school logo - such as a .jpg or .gif file - that can be emailed. Starting this year, if you email your logo to us at info@getin2college.com, we will save it for use on your handbook cover each year when we send it to you. The logo gives the handbook a really nice, professional and personalized look. We have tried to do this already when we can find a logo on the school's website, but the picture quality is often lacking.There is no extra charge for this logo service. Send yours any time - just indicate the school name in the email.

Private Subscriber Website Link
In order to protect our private subscriber website against unauthorized use, have added a password to our private site as a security measure. Each year the password will be sent to you along with your renewal and will also appear in each new handbook.  The current password will always work until December 31 of the current year, which is the renewal deadline for that year.

Please email us if you have ideas, as all suggestions will be considered and many are incorporated each year. Remember, as long as you continue to subscribe (no gaps), your price will remain the same.This is an enormous value, as it simplifies your budgeting as well. If it helps your school's budgeting or purchasing process for you to renew early, you may do so at any time. We will rush you the new handbook as soon as we receive your order form with a valid Purchase Order, Credit Card or check. If you wish to renew but receive the handbook later, simply indicate that on the form. We will not invoice your school until we've provided the handbook. The next edition (2008-2009 academic year) will be available after August 15, 2008.

Subscriber Tips: Do you use the subscriber website or only the handbook? Make this the year you update your school website with the resource link!  It is a valuable part of your subscription, yet only half our subscribers make full use of it!  See our FAQs or email us for help.

• Do you use the newsletter?  You can reproduce it for students and parents if you wish.

• Does your school have specific forms for transcript requests, etc.?  Place these and other school-specific pages in the back of the handbook prior to reproducing.  We've done the general work, but go ahead and provide your own customized section!

• Want to offset costs?   Sell some ad space at the back and you can easily pay for your entire Get in 2 College subscription! 

• We don't bother you with excessive emails, but we do occasionally have important updates. If your contact person changes, or your email addresses change, PLEASE always be sure we have a current email address.  If in doubt, email us your school name and contact info and we'll double check to be sure we're current.

• We sent about 5 emails to you last year. If you didn't receive them, then your school may be inadvertently blocking our emails as "spam". If so, contact your technical person and ask them to unblock info@getin2college.com.
